~ Letting go of what’s familiar is pretty difficult to do. I recently shared that I’m going through a major life change: I moved out of my hometown a month ago. During this time, I found the following passage in the Bible that resonated so much with what I was experiencing. ~ “There is an appointed time for everything and a time for every affair under the heavens...A time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” - Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ~ These lines helped me understand that change is normal. Sometimes change isn’t easy. Change challenges us to leave what’s familiar. One of the practices that has positively changed my life is gratitude journaling. It’s one of those things that you can do whether your having a good or bad day. At the end of the practice, you’re left with a shift in your perspective, especially on those days when you need hope. I’m so proud to share that I finally filled up my first ever gratitude journal, and I’m moving on to the next one. Completing a gratitude journal means that I’ve been able to make gratitude into habit and a priority in my life. Having a gratitude practice is one of the simplest ways I recommend everyone to see life through a new and positive perspective.
